Monochrome gallery installation from the N.A.K.E.D & Unashamed exhibition

Season One · The Women

Ten women.Ten stories.

The ten women of Volume One, each pictured as she chose to be seen. Her symbols. Her boundaries. Her colour. Her choice.

Not pity. Not shock. Not “how terrible.”

We’re asking you to sit with something harder: that the woman next to you at work, at church, in your family could be carrying a story like these — one you would never know by simply looking at her.

We ask whether you’ve ever looked at a woman and decided her whole story in one glance. We ask what it would take to see past the moment she survived, to the person she’s becoming.

What are you willing to see, that you’ve been taught to look away from?

A Special Tribute

A Tribute to Femicide in South Africa

The tenth story is not one woman’s story. It is a remembrance — held by the collection for the women of South Africa lost to femicide, and for the families who carry their names forward.

Your story. Your power.
